So, on Wednesday the 5th of November my life changed for two great reasons – firstly, at 12pm, we discovered we were expecting our 5th (collective) boy (!); later that same day, I ventured up to the big city to attend a glitzy-award ceremony at the luxurious Rosewood London, for the Amara Interior Blog Awards, for which the company blog I have been writing for for the past 15 months had been shortlisted for Organisation Blog of the year – and we only went and won! Whoop Whoop!

Collectively these two events were enough for a whole month’s worth of excitement, but no, I had to jam them into the same day – hence the delay in finally getting round to writing about them once the adrenalin had worn off.
Having written my first personal blog over 15 times and never having the bravery to actually push “publish”, winning the award and being lucky enough to have the recognition it brings meant I kinda had to do it!! (Either that or put up with the nagging of friends and family telling me to get my derriere into gear!)
So here I am, first post – I made it! It wasn’t too painful.
